Cancellation policy: There is no penalty if a confirmed reservation is cancelled 7
days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date. If a cancellation is made with
less than 7 days notice, and we are unable to fill the vacancy, you will be charged
for the greater of either 1 night's accommodation or 50% of the total reservation.

Pet policy: We love pets and have a dog and 2 cats, but if you want to travel with
your pet, please discuss this with us before finalizing your plans. We try
to be accommodating, but we cannot guarantee that our house will be suitable for
your furry friend. A $15/night surcharge is charged for pets.


Set on seven acres of woods, fields and a brook, the 1815 House is a perfect
get-away where you are welcome to roam, relax, read a book, splach in the
brook or chat by the fireside. nearby are the town of Woodstock with quaint
shops, Mt Ascutney State Park where there is nice hiking, beautiful Queechee
Gorge, and an abundance of galleries, antique shops, country stores, museums
and other Vermont attractions. Horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, hiking,
downhill or cross country skiing, hot air baloon rides, biking, fishing can all
be enjoyed nearby. In the evenings, enjoy a meal at our own Seedhouse Cafe, or
any of the other great restaurants in the area. We are also a short drive from
several ski areas--5 miles from Ascutney, 13 miles from Okemo, 33 miles from
Killington, You know that Vermont is famous for our many Artisan
Cheesemakers, but did you know that we also boast the most (per capita)
Micro-Breweries? Many nearby breweries and cheesemakers offer tastings and
tours. Ask us about participating in a special cheesemaking workshop during
your stay with us.
